Bushy Pondweed Description:
Bushy pondweed is an underwater plant with roots in the Lake Bottom and thin stems which branch to long narrow leaves. The leaves look like ribbons and are 1 to 2 cm long. They occur opposite each other or in threes.
Bushy pondweed is abundant in alkaline ponds, lakes, and slow-moving streams. It quickly becomes abundant in shallow water, forming dense mats.
